I am an experienced project manager who is easily motivated to all types of assignments. I am a good presenter and like to inspire people. I work structured, am thorough and I enjoy when we jointly reach targets we have set up. Several of my earlier managers have pointed out that I have an amazing ability to see the context at the same time as the details.

Sustainable Nordic cities with focus on climate-smart mobility

"Sustainable Nordic cities with focus on climate-smart mobility is one of four projects launched under the Swedish Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2018. The aim of the project is to contribute to a sustainable urban development by supporting the transition to fossil free and sustainable transportation in Nordic cities and their surrounding regions."

In this project, Sara Sköld contributed primarily with comparisons between different climate calculators for air transport and compiled the status of biofuels for the aviation industry in 2021.

How can new fuels be used in the shipping industry?

Low Carbon Marine Freight

Low Carbon Marine Freight was a concept we developed in 2018 with the hope of boosting sales of new fuels in the shipping industry. We primarily tested bio-based alternative fuels, and created a model where cargo owners could pay extra for the transport at a price premium. This later came to be called "Book and claim" and has become central to the shipowners' process of reducing their climate emissions and making the pricing model work.

How to prepare data for MRV reporting?

The EU’s MRV system for CO₂ emissions from ships, launched in 2018, requires monitoring of fuel use, emissions, cargo, and other parameters, but data accuracy varies by method and excludes other greenhouse gases and upstream emissions. Despite these limitations, the public release of data from 2019 was then expected to improve benchmarking, emission calculations, and transport work assessments.
